The Town Municipality of Mladenovac is one of 17 Municipalities in the City of Belgrade and is located in the northern part of low Šumadija, at an altitude of 113 to 628 m (Kosmaj Mountain). It covers most of the Veliki Lug River Valley, the left tributary of Kubršnica, with the peripheral mountainous area of Kosmaj in the west. It is surrounded by the Municipalities of Sopot, Grocka, Smederevo, Smederevska Palanka, Topola, and Aranđelovac. The surface area of the Municipality is 33,904 hectares, it has a total of 53,050 residents, of which over 22,000 locals live in Mladenovac.
