The Municipality of Velika Plana is a Municipality in the Podunavlje District in Central Serbia, in Šumadija. The Municipality covers an area of 345.5 km2 (26,864 ha of which are agricultural land, and 3,201 ha are forest land). The Municipality is located in the fertile Morava plain with an average altitude of 110 m. The Municipality is intersected by the Rivers Great Morava, Jasenica, and Rača. The E75 highway and the Belgrade-Niš railway pass through the Municipality, as did the Constantinople Road in the past.
