Zaječar

Zaječar is a town in the Zaječar District. According to the 2011 census, there were 38,165 residents in the settlement (there were 39,625 residents according to the 2002 census), while 59,491 residents lived in the administrative area that belongs to it, making it the largest town in Eastern Serbia in terms of residents. Currently, the Town is located in the Zaječar Valley, near a place called Sastavak, where the Beli and Crni Timok flow into the Veliki Timok River. The valley itself is located between the Carpathian and Balkan Mountain arks.
