The implementation of the “Clean Serbia” project has begun in Subotica

With the beginning of work in the “Aleksandrovo” Municipal Health Center in Subotica, the implementation of the “Clean Serbia” project in this city officially began.

The beginning of the works in Subotica was attended by the mayor Stevo Bakić together with representatives of the CRBC company.

“The structure of the “Clean Serbia” project for the City of Subotica includes 110 kilometers of sewage network, 10 kilometers in the “Palić” Municipal Municipality, 50 kilometers in the City of Subotica, 25 kilometers in the “Bajmok” Municipal Municipality and 25 kilometers in the “Čantavir” Municipal Municipality. as well as two wastewater treatment plants for the settlements of Bajmok and Čantavir,” said Bakić.

The works are carried out as part of the Annex to the contract signed by the city of Subotica with the Ministry of Construction, Infrastructure and Transport, and the works will be carried out in phases.

“The length of the sewerage network, in the first phase, included in this relevant annex is 60,870.35 meters, which will include the sewerage network of the Palić settlement with a length of 11.1 kilometers, the Bajmok settlement with a length of 26.3 kilometers and a part of the City of Subotica with a length of 22.7 kilometers, plus an open channel on Prozivka, about 660 meters long. The implementation of this project will finally solve the decades-long problem related to this canal, which polluted the air both in the area of ​​the Local Community “Prozivka” and the entire city of Subotica,” Bakić explained.

Bakić stated that the project documentation of the sewage network has been completed for the City of Subotica and the settlements of Palić, Bajmok and Čantavir, while the documentation for the wastewater treatment plants in the settlements of Bajmok and Čantavir is in progress.

The deadline for the completion of the works is three years, and the value of the works in the first phase is 25,393,893 euros.
