Landfills

Restoration, reconstruction, re-cultivation and construction of landfills with solid waste treatment.

The Project of construction of municipal infrastructure for disposal of solid municipal waste in the Republic of Serbia was conceived due to the failure to solve a years long problem in this field mainly in regional centers which cover a large number of residents (over 1,700,000) who have so far lacked the solution to the solid waste management problem.

The Program covers the Regional Landfills NIS, KRAGUJEVAC, KRALJEVO AND PANCEVO

The construction of a drive for the production electrical and thermal energy fron non-recyclable in NIS and KRAGUJEVAC will, apart from adequately solving the problem of solid municipal in these areas, also solve the problem of waste in the landfills that is outside of the recycling process: Krusevac, Vranje, Leskovac, Pirot(NIS) and regional landfills: Kraljevo, Pozarevac and Jagodina (Kragujevac). The amount that is planned for this kind of treatment is 250 tons a day per plant.

This way, a substantial amount of electrical and thermal energy will be produced.

This program will completely address the aforementioned geographical areas, and the pathway of the waste is clear:

“The household, after which it will be taken over by the Public Utility Companies, transported to a landfill, recycled, permanent treatment of the residue which cannot be used anymore, the entire process encircled by the production of electrical and thermal energy which will serve the man once again“.

In this way, the amount of waste that remains in the landfill is being reduced significantly, and by the same token we are meeting the conditions set by the EU related to circular economy and the percentage of addressing the solid municipal waste according to their requirements.
