The EU Ambassador Emanuele Giaufret within his visit campaign to Serbia has visited Subotica, in order to present and promote significant and large projects helped by the EU. The Mayor of Subotica, Stevan Bakić, while speaking on the topic of numerous projects being implemented in this city, has especially emphasized the works expected within the scope of the “Clean Serbia” Project.
Speaking on the infrastructural projects in Subotica, Bakić has emphasized the following: “I spoke with the Ambassador on the upcoming implementation of the “Clean Serbia” Project, within the scope of which the works on the construction of 110 kilometers of sewage network and two wastewater treatment plants on the territory of our city should begin next year.”
Bakić has also stated that within the scope of this Project, 20 million Euros will be invested in Subotica, Palić, Bajmok and Čantavir, which will make for the largest ever investment in the field of municipal infrastructure in Subotica.
With the implementation of the “Clean Serbia” Project and the construction of the sewage network and wastewater treatment plants, the problem of wastewater disposal will be solved for 15,000 residents.
