The implementation of the “Clean Serbia” Project in Vranje began on November 15, 2021.

A new sewage network in the length of 142 kilometers will be built on the territory of the Town of Vranje.

The value of the investment is 70 million EUR and it is one of the largest investments being realized in Vranje. The Project will cover all the villages of the Moravian basin, so that all wastewater will be directed to the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The beginning of the works started in Kosovska Street and they are currently being executed on a section of 1,416.75 m. The works were stalled due to the existing atmospheric sewage system, which was located on the route of the designed sewage system, which required a change in the design, and 474.07 m has been built so far.

It is important to note that before the “Clean Serbia” Project, the biggest investment was the construction of the Prvonek Dam, which was built from 1987 to 2005, so it is understandable that the residents of Vranje are looking forward to the Project.
