The Tutin Municipality, as one of the Sandžak Municipalities, is located in south-west Serbia and boarders the territories of 7 different Municipalities: Novi Pazar, Sjenica, Zubin Potok, and Istok in Serbia, and Rožaje, Berane, and Bijelo Polje in Montenegro. The Tutin Municipality territory with the average altitude of 1000m spans over 741 km2 of surface area which makes it, along with the Novi Pazar Municipality, the second Municipality in the Raška District, but third according to the number of residents (30,054) in the same District.
