The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Tomislav Momirović, stated for RTV Kragujevac that new construction sites are expected within the scope of the “Clean Serbia” Project.

“The state has realized that it cannot leave local self-governments to build municipal infrastructure in which they have not invested for decades, because that would take too long. That is why the construction of municipal infrastructure has already started in about twenty local self-governments. “Only in Kragujevac, at this moment, construction is being done on three locations,” the Minister spoke for the Radio-Television Kragujevac.

He stated that the plan is to open two more locations in the upcoming months. “Our goal is to complete 350 km of sewage network in Kragujevac in the next three years, which would double the sewage network, to build a wastewater treatment plant, to purify all the wastewater that now flows directly into the rivers, and it seems to me that there should be no dispute on that topic, ” the Minister told the RTK.

The implementation of the “Clean Serbia” Project in Kragujevac began on November 19, 2021. The Project is being implemented in several phases.
