Sombor will have more than 400 kilometers of sewage network

Through the “Clean Serbia” project, Sombor will receive another 260 km of sewage network in the coming period. Chinese Ambassador Li Ming said that the key goal of the projects supported by China in Serbia is the people.

The construction sites in Bezdan were visited by Prime Minister Miloš Vučević and Minister of Construction Goran Vesić. The Prime Minister of Serbia stated that the construction of the sewage network at the mentioned location solves a decades-old problem, and the life of the citizens of Sombor is moving in the right direction.

„They will get the infrastructure they need to have. We are moving in the direction of making life better. For many years and decades, Sombor was marginalized, which is unfair. Today, the entire ambience of this city is changing and what is important to do and what is the focus of Minister Vesić is the reconstruction of the railways, and Sombor is our hub and connection point to Subotica and Vrbas“, said Prime Minister Vučević during a tour of the works.

The Minister of Infrastructure, Transport and Construction, Goran Vesić, says that with these works, 90% of the city’s territory will be covered by the sewage network.

“Sombor will have more than 400 kilometers of sewage network, which means that 90 percent of the territory of that city will be covered by sewage. The works are progressing well, and Sombor, which currently has 140 kilometers of sewage network, will receive another 260 kilometers of network through the project “Clean Serbia”, he said.

In addition to the sewage network for this city, Minister Vesić said the “Clean Serbia” project will also provide Sombor with three wastewater treatment plants.

„We did Stanišićevo, we have now started to work on the sewage system in Bezdan, and all waste water must be processed and returned to nature in its pure form, which is a step forward in civilization“, said Vesić.

Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Ming said that the people are the priority of any development.

„My presence here shows our idea. The Serbian government has announced a huge Clean Serbia plan and China is ready to participate in this plan. The trust we received is also a duty for us“, said Ambassador Li.

409 km of sewage network is planned for the Pčinja district

409 km of sewage system will be built in the Pčinja district, announced the Minister of Construction and Transport, Goran Vesić, presenting the project to the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.

The Minister of Construction, Communications and Infrastructure, Goran Vesić, presented the project for the construction of a sewage system for the collection, removal and purification of waste water in the area of Vlasina to President Aleksandar Vučić, during his visit to the Pčinja district.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, as part of his visit to the Pčinja district, also visited Vlasina Lake, which will receive a sewage system for the collection, removal and purification of waste water in the area of Vlasina, and announced that the state will invest a lot of money in infrastructure and tourism development of Vlasina Lake.

“In order to do everything, it costs a hell of a lot, which the municipalities of Surdulica and Crna Trava have not seen in the last 70 years. Only this sewage system with purifiers will cost around 45 million euros, although now they say it will be 34 million euros”, said Vučić and added that everything has become more expensive, as well as building materials.

The president added that the investment in the complete infrastructure would certainly cost more than 100 million euros and pointed out that it is very important that private investors invest in Lake Vlasina, and not just the state.

Minister Goran Vesić Vesić pointed out that an 83-kilometer long sewage system will be built on Lake Vlasin, with a total value of 34.5 million euros.

The system will have two waste water processing plants, north and south, and 5,500 people will be able to connect to the northern plant, and 3,000 citizens to the south, explained Vesić.

According to him, the design of that system is currently being done, and about 78 kilometers have already been done with location conditions

“This project will enter the third phase of ‘Clean Serbia’, with Bujanovac, Vladičina Hana, Surdulica, Vranjska banja. “A total of 409 kilometers of sewage system, worth 200 million euros, will be built in the Pčinj district,” said Vesić.

He added that in the coming weeks, a contract for the construction of the second phase of “Clean Serbia” will be signed, within which sewage infrastructure and infrastructure for the disposal of municipal solid waste in Serbia, worth as much as 500 million euros, will be built in 16 municipalities. In the ongoing first phase, work is already underway at 16 locations in 14 municipalities worth 336 million euros. The entire Clean Serbia project includes the construction of sewage and wastewater treatment plants in

89 municipalities. “When the project, worth 3.5 billion euros, is completed, 2.7 million people will receive sewage,” said Vesić.

“From the moment we start building the sewer ring around Vlasin Lake, in the summer of 2024, it will be completed in two years,” said Minister Vesić.

In the third phase of the “Clean Serbia” project, in addition to Pčinjsko, facilities will also be built in the part of the Jablanica district where 148 km of sewerage and five wastewater treatment facilities worth almost 82 million euros will be built.

Momirović: Obrenovac to get 100 km of sewage network

The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Tomislav Momirović has stated today in Obrenovac that 100 km of sewage network and two wastewater treatment factories will be constructed on the territory of that municipality. So far, 40 km of sewage network has been constructed in the Municipality of Obrenovac.

While visiting the works on the implementation of the “Clean Serbia” Project in Obrenovac, the Minister has strongly emphasized that only 8 per cent of the population in our country is covered by wastewater treatment plants. “We are currently building on 16 locations and in the previous two months we have built 60 kilometers of sewage network. How behind we are in terms of municipal infrastructure says the fact that only 8 per cent of the population in this country is covered by wastewater treatment plants. We have to change that, clean our rivers, to treat wastewaters and to discharge clean water into nature”, says the Minister during his visit to the construction site.

Momirović has emphasized that fast railroads and highways are all for nothing if we destroy nature.

“This Project that we are implementing in Obrenovac is the biggest ecological project in the history of our country and I personally, the entire Government and the political system led by the President Aleksandar Vučić will not stop until we complete this Project”, says the Minister.

The President of the Municipality of Obrenovac Miroslav Čučković says that

So far, 40 km of sewage has been built in Obrenovac and it covers the following settlements: Šljivica, Belo Polje, settlement of Braće Jugović, routes towards Valjevo and Ub, settlement of Zvečka, as well as along the road to Šabac.

“We have added to that the settlements of Urovci and Krtinska and the crown of that entire process has to be the construction of a wastewater treatment factory. Thanks to the Government of Serbia, Messrs. Jeremić and Tomislav Momirović we will receive two factories in our town. Wastewater treatment factory will be located between the picnic area “Zabran” and the highway, which is why it is important that it be constructed according to the highest ecological standards, in high quality and long-lasting” says the President of the Municipality of Obrenovac Miroslav Čučković.

Čučković has presented an interesting fact that the prices of houses in the parts of Obrenovac where the sewage and heating pipes have been constructed have grown by 30 per cent, which is, in his opinion, another reason to complete this Project.

The President of the Municipality, Čučković, has announced that the continuation of works from July 1 plans for the River Barička and streets Miroslava Čamdžije, Grobljanska and all streets which gravitate towards that part of Obrenovac, which would complete the preparations for the commissioning of the entire system.
