Brnabić: “Clean Serbia” is one of the most important projects

The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, at the parliamentary session, announced the allocation of 3.4 billion euros in the next few years through the “Clean Serbia” project.

“We initiated and did many other things in the previous two years – also in the field of environmental protection (through the cleaning of illegal landfills, the construction of sewage networks and wastewater treatment plants, afforestation, desulfurization at our thermal power plants, etc.),” said Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić.

She stated that funds of 31.5 billion dinars have been secured for the environment.

“Here is one of the most important projects, the Clean Serbia project, there is also a budget for the disposal of hazardous waste, we continue subsidies for the purchase of electric vehicles, afforestation… In the previous two years, we cleaned 750 unsanitary landfills, which is a quarter of the total number. We are finally cleaning up our Serbia, the wild landfills that were created 65-70 years ago. We work in the interest of Serbia, we don’t brag about being green, it’s part of our job, we push forward on our own as a parliamentarian the majority. Therefore, greater investments in health, culture, defense, education… With this budget, hard work and projects, we will enable a better standard of citizens”, concluded the Prime Minister.
